Over the last 20 years we’ve been fortunate to work as furniture partners to some of the best known names in the Interior Design business and in that time Chapel Street has evolved as a curated library of classics, from past centuries up to the modern day. Working alongside Ben Whistler, the bespoke-only furniture company, we have seen trends evolve and refine, and we think our 2016 collection reflects the best of these directions.
In the modern age the speed of design influences has gathered pace, but at the same time design elements have remained constant. The familiar sweep of Georgian lines, the tactile influence of Danish chair work, the opulence of Hollywood Regency and the pared down nature of modern minimalist. Our personal journey has been to cast a selective eye over these elements, and build a range that has luxury and tradition at its heart.
Chapel Street gives the contemporary designer a canvas of different styles to finish schemes, and the reassurance of a company that has overseen the build and delivery of thousands of pieces over the years. Our small-batch craftsmanship combines originality and purity of design, derived from changing tastes and enduring themes, but we will continue to explore and refine the pieces in our collection in the years to come.
For the first time, from November 2015, we will have a dedicated showroom in Chelsea Harbour so that designers and clients can experience the Chapel Street attention to detail first-hand. We hope this will give us more of a chance to understand the direction that furniture design and interior luxury is headed. We look forward to the conversations!
